For body shaping we use the revolutionary, FDA-cleared
VASER Lipo system, a minimally invasive liposuction procedure
that sculpts specific body areas using ultrasound energy
to break up fat with minimal damage to the surrounding healthy
tissue.
When used by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon,
VASER Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (UAL) offers benefits
over traditional liposuction including the ability to be
performed in an out-patient office setting using local anesthesia
rather than general anesthesia, so the patient is awake
or mildly sedated during the procedure. Ultrasound assisted
liposuction is also less traumatic to the body because it
emulsifies fatty tissue, so there is less stress on the
skin and surrounding tissues during the removal process,
which results in less bruising and swelling than traditional
liposuction.
Ultrasound assisted liposuction is an excellent choice for
patients who are looking to improve select areas of their
body and want the latest technology to help them achieve
the best results possible.
Many other procedures may be performed either in the office
setting or at near-by surgery centers under anesthesia.
